San Pellegrino Café Society - Facebook App

August 2013

In its 14th year, the San Pellegrino Café Society Photography Competition showcases the work of final year Photography students from all around Australia, where the winner is selected via public votes.

To facilitate the voting process, I built a voting interface which was housed within a Facebook app on the Café Society Facebook page. This allowed fans of the competition to browse through each of this year's finalists and vote for the one that they thought most encapsulated all that's great about the café scene.

Technology Behind Business - Mobile App

March 2013

I was approached by Multi Channel Network to build a web app for Sky News Australia, who had partnered with Microsoft to help promote their newly released Office 365 product.

Designed specifically for smartphones and tablets, the app (which was accessible via the web and the Android App Store) provided users with a feed containing the most up-to-date technology news from Sky News, as well as a Catch Up TV area allowing visitors to watch previous episodes of the Sky News program and a custom built discussion forum.

By the end of the campaign, over 16,000 people had utilised the app over the space of a few months.

NRL.com - Live Betting Odds Feed

February 2013

As part of a sponsorship agreement with Sportingbet, NRL.com were required to display up-to-the-minute live odds against each match on their website.

I was responsible for building an application that generated a feed mapping each NRL match to its corresponding Sportingbet live odds, which was then pushed directly to the NRL.com servers once a minute, 24/7.
